Across the internet, VTubers (virtual YouTubers) are gaining tremendous momentum in terms of popularity. These online entertainers are YouTubers or live streamers who use avatars created with programs such as Live2D, portraying characters designed by online artists. One such famous VTuber across the internet is Ironmouse.

With over 1.5 million followers on Twitch, 820,000 on Twitter, and around 250,000 on TikTok, female VTuber Ironmouse is no lightweight. While many people follow her on social media, it appears that some users have gone too far.

Who is Ironmouse?

According to Streams Charts, Ironmouse was the second most popular female streamer on Twitch, garnering 20.51 million hours watched in 2022. She is the most-followed English language VTuber on the platform. She still holds the record for the most concurrent subscribers for a female content creator with more than 170,000.

'UHH… This is not me '

Recently, Ironmouse called out another TikTok account for impersonating her. The phony account boasts over 22,000 followers and has over 190,000 likes on the platform. However, the difference between the original Ironmouse account and the phony account is a simple “i” at the end of their username. The fake profile’s bio also reads the exact same as the original account. It reads “New Account. Hey, I’m your cringe demon queen. Official ironmouse, Catch me on Twitch.”

On TikTok, while the real one goes with the username, “ironmouse”, the fake one goes with “ironmousei.”

Taking her frustration to social media, she sought help on Twitter saying, “UHH… This is not me @TikTokSupport I tried reporting to get it taken down, but nothing has been done.” Even after tagging TikTok support on Twitter, and receving fans' support, the phony account was still up and running at the time of writing.
