After a weekend full of upsets, drama, and a vintage OpTic Losers Bracket run, Toronto Ultra won Call of Duty League Major 3.

After a disappointing start to Major 3 qualifiers, Toronto Ultra benched Eli "Standy" Bentz and replaced him Challengers player, Charlie "Hicksy" Hicks. The new squad finished 3-2 in online qualifiers and locked in the third seed for the Major.

With veterans Jamie "Insight" Craven and Tobias "CleanX" Jonsson alongside two rookies, Ultra was an underrated team heading into the Texas Major. As the world clamored for an OpTic Texas victory, Ultra waited to meet them in Grand Finals and ultimately took home the title.

Ultra defeated the New York Subliners and Boston Breach to make it Winners Finals, where they met Atlanta FaZe. The Major 2 champions saw their recording breaking 15 SnD win streak broken by Ultra, and then lost the remaining two respawns.

Future Rookie of the Year, Thomas "Scrap" Ernst told the crowd he wanted to meet OpTic Texas in Grand Finals, and the Major 3 MVP got his wish.

Ultra defeated OpTic in both Hardpoints, but OpTic took home the first SnD and Control. Even at 2-2, the Hotel Search proved to be the swing map. Ultra, on the back of Scrap's cruise missile, won a Round 11 that gave them the momentum heading into the El Asilo Control. Ultra won a Round 5 defense and became Major 3 Champions.

With Major 5 set to take place in Toronto, Ultra are hoping to win another title in front of their home crowd.
