There has been speculation on whether Ark II will be on Xbox Game Pass. During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, Microsoft announced that Ark II would be arriving Day 1 on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
On top of Ark II, Xbox announced a host of games releasing in the next year that will come out Day 1 on Game Pass, including Overwatch 2 and As Dusk Falls. The sequel to the hit game Ark: Survival Evolved, Ark II will be a survival multiplayer game featuring a brand new story and cross-platform modding. Ark II will release sometime in 2023 and be available on Game Pass as soon as it launches.
Is Ark II on Xbox Game Pass?
Whenever a new Xbox game is announced, there is often uncertainty on whether or not it will release immediately on Game Pass, if at all. Ark II will join the hundreds of games already playable on Game Pass. However, it is currently unknown if the title will be available immediately on Xbox's Cloud Gaming service, which allows players to run certain titles on devices such as their phones and tablets.
These new Game Pass titles come in the wake of Sony announcing their revamped PlayStation Plus, which now acts more as a direct competitor to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft will be able to gain a slight edge once it adds Ark II to its Game Pass library when the game launches in 2023.
