We've compiled a guide on how to use V Blood Abilities in V Rising.

V Rising allows players a variety of abilities as they progress through the game. By battling bosses and draining their blood, vampire players can gain brand new powers from an assortment of schools to better hunt and deal damage against roving foes. The key to a successful run in V Rising is knowing how to use these abilities correctly.

Here's what you need to know about how to use V Blood Abilities in V Rising.

How to Use V Blood Abilities in V Rising

V Blood Abilities come in five of subtypes not including the unique Vampire Powers. These are:

  • Blood
  • Frost
  • Chaos
  • Unholy
  • Illusion

Of these, players can mix and match specific abilities into their hotkey abilities for a combination of Travel, Basics, and Ultimate. Selected abilities can be from any mixture of types and do not have to be of the same type. Below, we've explained each ability category:

  • Travel abilities are invulnerable dash abilities that offer a second effect, which often tends to buff your damage and/or healing for the next short time.
  • Basic abilities are either direct damage abilities or utility abilities such as buffs.
  • Ultimate abilities are the most powerful in your kit with a long cooldown that typically deals a great amount of damage.

To use your chosen ability, simply tap the hotkey that corresponds to that ability on your bottom bar. These can be changed at any time by pulling up the Powers menu and drag-and-dropping the new chosen ability into the correct slot.

Players are encouraged to experiment and find the correct mix that works for them.

V Rising is currently available now in Early Access.
