Fury of the Sunwell Arrives in WoW Classic

A brand new content update for Burning Crusade is now live in World of Warcraft Classic. Fury of the Sunwell kicked off yesterday with some more content rolling out over the coming days.

WoW Classic players are heading back to the Isle of Quel'Danas, ready to join the Shattered Sun Offensive and face Kil'jaeden in the Sunwell Plateau. This new content update adds in a new faction to join - the Shattered Sun Offensive - allowing players to participate in new daily quests ad support them in their struggle against Kael'thas and the Legion.

While the Isle of Quel'Danas is open, the region's 25-player raid - Sunwell Plateau - will be available from tomorrow, May 12. Known as one of the more challenging raids during WoW's earlier days, players will see themselves pitted against six raid bosses: Kalecgos, Brutallus, Felmyst, The Eredar Twins, M'uru, and Kil'jaeden.

All six raid bosses will be available at launch, and there'll be no attunement required to enter the instance.

Also coming with this expansion is a new PvP Arena season. Players who take part in Season 4 and qualify will earn themselves some exclusive rewards:

  • Brutal Gladiator Shoulders (requires 2000 personal rating)
  • Brutal Gladiator Weapons (require 1850 personal rating)
  • Guardian’s Boots (requires 1700 personal rating)
  • Guardian’s Rings (requires 1650 personal rating)
  • Guardian’s Bracers (requires 1575 personal rating)

Whether you're a returning WoW player looking to relive the Classic days, or a newer player looking to try it out for the first time, there's plenty to get stuck into with this latest content update.
