AUSTIN, TEXAS: The streaming wars have been a topic of hot debate in the gaming community, with Twitch and YouTube contending for supremacy. However, newer platforms have emerged on the scene, and one of them seems to be making waves. Rumble, a steadily growing streaming site, has recently snagged big names like Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed, JiDion, and Akademiks. Mizkif has signed a streaming deal with Rumble

Mizkif, a popular Twitch streamer, announced during a regular live stream on May 28 that he would be streaming on Rumble twice a week for a few hours. He made it clear that this new venture was not a full pivot to Rumble and that he would still maintain his presence on Twitch. “Basically, I will be, twice a week, or for a few hours, and that’s it, I will be streaming on Rumble,” he announced to his Twitch chat.

In fact, he plans on adding another day of streaming on Twitch to his usual three, in addition to his hours on Rumble. While streaming, he added, “It won’t take away from Twitch at all, it basically is going to add time on Twitch.” He disclosed the decision to close his alternative streaming channel, syn4ack, and replaced the time he spent on it with his Rumble streams.

Mizkif explained that he signed on with Rumble to strengthen the gaming section of their site. He also mentioned that he was given the freedom to play whatever games he wanted, which appealed to him. He stated that Rumble was focused on becoming more gaming-oriented, and this was something he was all for. Mizkif's deal is another feather in Rumble's cap, and it will be interesting to see which other big names might follow suit in the coming months.

Streaming community left divided by Mizkif's decision

The news that popular Twitch broadcaster Matthew "Mizkif" has acquired a live-streaming contract with Rumble made headlines on Monday, May 29. He made it clear that he would keep doing live broadcasts on Twitch, the platform run by Amazon, and twice weekly on Rumble. Later that day, according to Mizkif, he took the opportunity to expand the platform rather than accepting the agreement for the money.

During the third hour of his live stream, Mizkif received a contribution message from a viewer who made a joke about Rumble paying him a lot of money to sign with them. In response, the 28-year-old said, "It's not about the money. It's about growing the platform. I think you guys aren't getting that. Like... I don't know why you guys get that in your head?"

Another supporter questioned his choice of the "worst possible" streaming service. Mizkif jokingly said that Twitch is "not that bad." Afterward, he added, "You guys think you're funny, huh? Well, pup does something f**king... you know, try to help out a platform grow, and you guys just s**t on me."

The Austin, Texas, native's announcement was shared on Reddit, and it divided the streaming community. One Reddit user said, "Wanting to grow that platform is 100% worse than bag chasing, though bag chasing by working with that platform is still pretty bad." While another user commented, "C'mon dog let's be real here... it's 100% about the money. Let's not act like rumble is some great platform."
